I’m thinking about putting something together for wired minds in the Phoenix Metroplex, a get-together for Phoenicians interested in Web 2.0 sales and marketing ideas.
I’m thinking this Friday for a kick-off event, but, if it works, we’ll do something once a month or so.
Organizational ideas are welcome. And: Feel free to pass this on.

What I would really like is a quieter kind of restaurant that could use the business on a Friday night. Failing that, one of those KW training rooms would be cool. 😉

We’re not going to draw huge numbers the
first time out, so maybe that’s adequate for
a start.
That works for me! IF we wanted to use a KW training room, we can do that, but my office is in Tempe on Rural and the 60. Not quite as central, but available if needed.

I talked to the folks at the Starbucks at 7th and Missouri, and they’re fine with us. There’s a kid there, a brand new licensee, whom I’ve been talking with for months, and I’m eager for him to participate, too. Alice Held likes mornings, an idea I don’t hate, so maybe we’ll arrive at different arrangements in the future.
For now: I will be at the Starbucks on 7th Street just north of Missouri Avenue from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, July 17th. Bring your laptop if you want, along with your spouse or anyone you know who wants to learn more about marketing in the Web 2.0 world, but do not dare leave your brain at home.
(Note: 7th Street, not 7th Avenue. From the SR-51 Freeway, get off on Bethany Home Road, go east to 7th Street, then south to 5557 North 7th Street. From the I-17 Freeway, get off on Bethany Home Road, go west to 7th Street (you’ll cross Central Avenue), then south to 5557 North 7th Street. Either way, if you get to the light at Missouri Avenue, you’ve gone too far.)
