We did more in Las Vegas than tour construction sites, but you’d never know it from the snapshots. Here are some more projects in the works — nothing like all there are to be explored.

Caesar’s empire. Behind the Augustus tower, on the right, will be another high hi-rise hotel tower. The steel shed in the bottom right will be replaced by new convention facilities. At the corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas Boulevard, now occupied by an open-air plaza, Caesar’s will build 37,000sf of new casino space.
And not to forget dowdy old Downtown, the Landry restaurant chain, new owners of the Golden Nugget, are planning to build a new hotel tower behind the old Pioneer Club.

but…alas… I love Vegas. I even honeymooned in a suite in Paris.
I’m interested in the Cosmo – and how the condotels sell. I see a new surge in their popularity and with all the Foreign Nationals coming to the forefront of buying these units, I think it could be a great project in any vacation spot like Vegas or here in South Florida

For my honeymoon, my wife & I visited Monte Carlo (the one in Monaco). The scenery was beautiful, but we were taken aback that the hotel casinos were so small and quaint compared to the opulence of the Vegas version.

Thanks for the great pics, it’s amazing how quickly Las Vegas is evolving. I make my way out there two or three times a year and now half of the fun is finding out what the newest building on the block is!

Note that if you haven’t taken in the mud wrestling at the New Frontier (it’s amazing how many wives are not interested in quality entertainment), your last chance is July 15th. Soon thereafter, the two Trump Towers will be joined by another Fifth Avenue landmark, the Plaza Hotel.

Mud wrestling. I had a client once who was a Mud Engineer. Huh? Well this is petroleum country. Wrestling mud is oil drilling mud, the lubricant for drill bits as it cuts through rock. He said that his most profitable and entertaining clients were the mud wrestling bars, and claimed he could get the the mud so slippery that you could not stand up in it.
