The Odysseus Medal competition — Voting for the People’s Choice Award is open
A dozen-and-a-half nominees, but seven of them are from BloodhoundBlog. We had a great week; there were five more that I had to wince hard and cut.
A lot from the news, as usual, plus tools, tips, tricks and techniques and the kind of deep thinking that makes this competition what it is.
Vote for the People’s Choice Award here. You can use the voting interface to see each nominated post, so comparison is easy.
Voting runs through to 12 Noon MST Monday. I’ll announce the winners of this week’s awards soon thereafter.

I haven’t been following this competition. Who selects the Odysseus finalists each week?
I didn’t realize that of all the real estate blog posts written throughout the blogosphere, bloodhound blog represented almost half of the best posts this week. Very impressive.
> Who selects the Odysseus finalists each week?
Me. This week we had 48 nominees, so about one third made the short-list.
> bloodhound blog represented almost half of the best posts this week.
Allowing for my biases, BloodhoundBlog contributors, working here and elsewhere, do an amazing amount of exemplary work every week. I bend over backwards to be fair, especially judging for The Odysseus Medal, but doing exemplary work is how you earn a place at this table.
But: All I see is what I see. My goal in doing this is to see the best of everything, so I entreat everyone reading this to nominate the very best work they see on the RE.net every week.
Aha! I see I am holding the most lotto tickets. (If history repeats, I will be the biggest loser again).
Some really good stuff here. Go, Geno!
Bloodhound Blog has an amazing pack of RE bloggers and I’m honored to have my post included amongst them. Now I’m just trying to read through the one’s I’m not subscribed to (yet) so I can cast my vote!
Hey Greg! I’m glad to see that you’ve nominated one of our fantastic contributors again this week, Richard Warren. His Economic Trickle Down Effect takes a great perspective on the economy’s decline. Good luck to him and all of the others!
