In all seriousness, shouldn’t there be a comprehensive understanding of the specific needs of the GLBT community before an agent (or lender) is “recommended”?
I can understand the need for a resource directory of professionals who have such understanding but I think the requirements should be more than the enrollment fee.

I got a phone pitch asking me to spend $300 for another place that wants to market to the gay community. $300 for a year, Hmmm I don’t think so.

In my mind, small as it maybe, all of these “specialties,” niche markets, or whatever you want to call them, are simply reinventing paid directory advertising dressed up with a trumped up certification…like REALTORS® need another set of initials behind their name! For which we pay for “training” that makes us “specially qualified” to serve this market. I haven’t heard from “gay agent,” but I have been solicited by CSA (Certified Senior Agent) and the like. Shame on us if we spend our $$ on these bogus initials!
