Remember, it ain’t news until it’s been processed by a professional.

For all us amateurs out there: If you missed out on something that happened a week ago, you can pretty much figure everyone who cares already knows.

And a note to the self-professed professionals: We already know you’re not paying attention. You don’t have to paint a target on your forehead.

    I notice the same time warp effect in the political news vs political bloggers as well. Read Hugh Hewitt’s blog and wait a couple of days…MSM then finds out.

    We really live in a light speed world. There is no news cycle. It is 24/7/365.

    Precisely. And the mainstream journalists who have made the leap to real webloggging, like Hewitt or Michelle Malkin or Mickey Kaus — or John Cook closer to home — are on top of things, and the rest might as well be working toward retirement down at the post office. It’s a lesson for real estate professionals, too: If you aren’t playing today’s game, you’re headed for the sidelines.

    I posted something on my blog this morning about a management shake-up at Point2 Agent. About 12 hours later P2 said something publicly. Nothing from any real estate news source yet.

    Surely when 8 or so top level managers simultaneously leave one of the major vendors in the real estate web space, that is “news”?

    I thought so when you posted. I’ve been waiting for the other shoe to drop. I will cede the arsenal of resources to the professionals. Imagine what they could do with an RSS feed…
