Coming Tuesday, the real estate webloggers blogoff . . .
First, Sellsius° gave us 50 new posts in one day. They threw down a gauntlet: Could anyone do 101 new weblog entries in a single day?
Ardell DellaLoggia took up the challenge and dared me to compete against her.
We agreed on Tuesday, September 26th, for the blogoff. We’ll start at midnight on Monday night and continue through to midnight Tuesday night — or until we collapse from exhaustion or dementia. New, original, creditable posts — and may the divil take the hindmost.
Sellsius° and The Property Monger promise post-by-post coverage. Tune in Tuesday at BloodhoundBlog and Ardell’s Searching Seattle Blog to see who wins.

Out blog Ardell? Isn’t that like trying to out-code Microsoft & Google combined? Have fun.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Robbie! Kevin put his $10 on Greg.
That’s what we need: A betting line! I don’t need to win, I just need to beat the spread!
You two are a hoot. I bet you are writing now. What a great response to sellsius. Lar
I’m going shopping for some popcorn and junior mints.
You’ve got the edge with your ability to construct short, concise posts, but Ardell can talk… So it’s really not just Battle of the Sexes, but also Battle of the Blogging Styles.
I’ll post my winner, and best blogs from the blog-a-thon on BlueRoof Wednesday… while you’re both in a comma.
Good luck!

Uhhhh….
Post by Post…I still get to sleep… right?
Crap, what did I just get myself into?
I’m going to buy a cappuccino machine now. See you all at midnight + 1.
> I still get to sleep… right?
I intend to. I know I’ll have to work, too. I’m depending on being able to do 20+ an hour in spurts. If that doesn’t work, I’ll lose.
I will be there with popcorn and raisinettes.
my god!
I’m depending on being able to do 20+ an hour in spurts
This is sick.
20+ an hour…
Greg… I was curious, on the end of each your fingers, do you have like tiny little 7 fingered hands or something?
This reply alone took me 10 minutes to type

LOL, exactly!!
Most of my SHORT e-mailed notes spring from more than five minutes of wool-gathering composition.
I wonder how Greg is at videogames.
Not to mention writing an entire post and then realizing that it sounds ridiculous or will be too inflamatory or just doesn’t make sense or something and having to start over or erase the whole thing all together.
I hope I’m not the only one who has done this…
I can imagine once the blog count gets into the sixties there might be some heavy drinking or blogs running into one another- or both. Either way they will be interesting.

I’ve been writing on deadline since before I had to shave. For one thing, you get good at anything you do a lot. For another, I engineer anything I have to do more than twice. If I really can do 20 a hour, 18 of those 20 will take 36 minutes or less. Twelve minutes each for the last two won’t be a problem. But: That might work for the first few hours. I can draft discursive prose for 6 or 8 hours straight, no problem, 1,000 – 1,500 words an hour. But this is a lot of gear-shifting. By the fifth hour I might be toast. That’s why I plan to sleep.
I’ve been thinking about this as the Walk-Off in Zoolander, but if y’all wanna play Cool Hand Luke instead, I’m game.
Here’s something funny: I have to bank columns for the Arizona Republic this weekend. I wrote three today, three more tomorrow. That’s what I need right now, six ideas under embargo…
Echoed comment:
ARDELL: > Greg is NOT gonna LAST!! LOL
Just so you know, even though I can’t pre-write posts #1 — #101, I wrote #102 earlier today, a victory lap. I think you’ll win the hearts and minds of our colleagues, but there is no way I won’t finish.
What color trunks will you be wearing? Sounds like this is going to look like the tortoise and the hare. I’ll start posting at 12:01 and you’ll sweep in at noon and be done by 5 p.m. quitting time.
> you’ll sweep in at noon and be done by 5 p.m.
I’m starting at midnight, as well. I don’t know that I can sustain a pace of 20+ an hour. But if I can do that for even two hours, that will help a lot. I have a house that should close on Monday, so I’m sure it will go Tuesday instead. Other stuff will come up. I need maneuvering room in the business part of the day.
This truly is a daunting amount of work. If we can pull this off, that will be a remarkable thing.
Good luck to both of you. If I had to pick 2 bloggers that could do this.. you both would be at the top of the list. I look forward to watching.

I thought it would spice things up for the spectators to get a live betting market going — using fake money, in keeping with the laws of 49 of the 50 states.

[...] The interesting thing about blogging is that it really exercises your mind. You may have found that it takes alot longer than you thought to write a post. Don’t worry, that will change with time. Once you get some experience, you will be able to knock out a 1 page post in under 30 minutes. Or you could advance to the big leagues and write 102 posts in one day like Ardell or Greg. [...]
