{"id":10028,"date":"2009-10-10T09:44:30","date_gmt":"2009-10-10T16:44:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=10028"},"modified":"2009-10-10T10:50:56","modified_gmt":"2009-10-10T17:50:56","slug":"how-to-be-more-honest-accounting-for-morons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/10028\/how-to-be-more-honest-accounting-for-morons\/","title":{"rendered":"How To Be More Honest: Accounting For Morons."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The worst thing that ever\u00a0 happened to me was November of 2003.\u00a0 I made, as a Realtor $57,000 in closings (without a team) in one month.\u00a0 In early December, I added another $19,000 to that pile of money.\u00a0 Because of my phone banging good times, I didn&#8217;t have expenses or marketing that created it, my willingness to endure rejection, and a booming economy created that opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>I remember that number, those numbers because I added them and re added them.\u00a0 It made me a big dude.\u00a0 I was happy and proud about a $76,000 run in about 20 days.\u00a0 Proved that banging the phones works, validated me as a person.\u00a0\u00a0 I was king of the world, at 27.\u00a0 Hot wife, money in the bank, Acura RL in the driveway.\u00a0 What&#8217;s not to dig?\u00a0 (Heh).<\/p>\n<h3>Yesterday&#8217;s Awards Don&#8217;t Pay Tomorrow&#8217;s Bills<\/h3>\n<p>Well, the fact that you read your own press.\u00a0 See, I took most of December off.\u00a0 &#8220;I earned this break.&#8221;\u00a0 I said as we went to Oregon.\u00a0\u00a0 Bought a new house on a stated deal, pissing $40k on a down payment (Because you know, I now make $60,000 a month, you know?).\u00a0\u00a0 Didn&#8217;t work in January because I had myself convinced that I was earning $60,000 a month.\u00a0 I was that good, I could turn it on.\u00a0 Get it?\u00a0 I rounded up to a number I only did once, and didn&#8217;t worry because t<em>hat&#8217;s who I was.
