{"id":10206,"date":"2009-11-02T12:01:19","date_gmt":"2009-11-02T19:01:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=10206"},"modified":"2009-11-02T12:01:19","modified_gmt":"2009-11-02T19:01:19","slug":"cit-fed-bk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/10206\/cit-fed-bk\/","title":{"rendered":"CIT + FED = BK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A few months back, as part of a <a title=\"Tin Foil Hat Production\" href=\"http:\/\/lifethatpops.com\/category\/tin-foil-hat-productions\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tin Foil Hat Production<\/a>, <a title=\"Tin Foil Hat &amp; CIT\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=9255\" target=\"_blank\">I mentioned CIT&#8217;s desperate need for funds<\/a> and the Fed&#8217;s decision not to bail them out.  Why is this noteworthy?  After all, I don&#8217;t believe the Fed should bail<em> anybody<\/em> out.\u00a0 I cheer wildly to see <a title=\"Ford Surprises w $1billion profit\" href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/s\/ap\/20091102\/ap_on_bi_ge\/us_earns_ford\" target=\"_blank\">Ford record surprising profits<\/a> while competing against the Frankenstein creation that is GM, just as I quietly root for GM&#8217;s justified demise.\u00a0 But here we are, with <a title=\"CIT Files Bankruptcy\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/apps\/news?pid=20601103&amp;sid=axReRf.2yetg\" target=\"_blank\">CIT declaring bankruptcy<\/a> and the hypocrisy is just too much.\u00a0\u00a0 Apparently, a company focused on financing small business (70% of the entire factoring business!) is not worth a bail out from the administration that claims to look for <a title=\"Obama Acts to Spur Lending to Small Business\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/10\/22\/business\/smallbusiness\/22small.html?_r=1\" target=\"_blank\">ways to spur Small Business<\/a>.\u00a0 Color me cynical, but I think CIT&#8217;s main problem was a lack of Goldman-Sach&#8217;s alumni on its board&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A few months back, as part of a Tin Foil Hat Production, I mentioned CIT&#8217;s desperate need for funds and the Fed&#8217;s decision not to bail them out.
