That’s like advertising White Sox Gear for sale in a Cubs fan magazine — your target market is not in the audience.

So, I think you can make one of two arguments about Sunday Real Estate advertising: that the advertising is there is to make the seller “feel good”, or that it’s there to promote the brokerage’s brand.

Either way, it’s worth a re-evaluation.

For the money that is spent on newspaper advertising weekly, real estate agents could be providing more personalized services for home sellers including single-property listing URLs with custom Web design, better videography of the home, and higher-quality signage.

These are all items to which a buyer would respond favorably. In theory, that should lead to higher sales volume and nothing builds a brand name better than having “SOLD” hanging from a listing sign.

Image courtesy: The Village News

Let’s all agree on the following: Most home buyers begin their home search on the Internet Most home buyers use Web-based software to “preview” homes online Most home buyers receive regular email/web updates from their agent about new homes worth previewing If we know all of this to be true, why does my local newspaper’s […]

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

5

0":"post-1076","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"hentry","6":"category-real-estate","8":"no-featured-image
https://www.bloodhoundrealty.com/BloodhoundBlog/16276/there-is-no-real-estate-inventory-problem-in-oceanside-ca/
How often had you heard real estate agents complain about "the inventory problem" this past year? I used to think their complaints were farcical until these past 3-4 months. I have about a dozen pre-approved buyers out looking for homes. Interest rates are low and the foreclosures are getting snapped…
https://www.bloodhoundrealty.com/BloodhoundBlog/533/for-sale-by-owner-sellers-can-help-move-real-estate-market-into-new-buyers-world/
I gripe about the meager little 350 words I get in my column in the West Valley sections of the Arizona Republic.
