Jubilance is Not Arrogance<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy are you so happy <\/em>I say.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCause I get to be me<\/em>.\u201d\u00a0 I say.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow are you\u201d they say. \u201cNever better,\u201d is my invariable answer.<\/p>\n

\u2026<\/p>\n

When I\u2019m at a Starbucks, or shopping for clothing, I\u2019m happy.\u00a0 I\u2019m happy because I\u2019m doing somethin\u2019 I want to be doing.\u00a0 I\u2019m happy and cheery, and delighted to be alive.\u00a0 I\u2019m loud and I can\u2019t help it.\u00a0 I engage people in a life of play.\u00a0 A frolicking time.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always done this.<\/p>\n

I have my surly moments, I have my moral failures, and I have times where I\u2019m not yet<\/em> congruent with my ideal self.\u00a0 But generally\u2014I\u2019m happy.<\/p>\n

And people notice that happiness.<\/p>\n

And a few people try to bring me down a notch, down to wherever it is that they wallow.<\/p>\n

Through every trial, I\u2019ve been happy.\u00a0 Because I know that the future is bright.\u00a0 If not for everyone, certainly for me <\/em>and my son and my wife and my daughter.\u00a0 I\u2019m not giddy, and I\u2019m not Pollyanna. I\u2019m happy because I believe in the abilities (the inalienable essence, endowed by my Creator).\u00a0 I don\u2019t hold onto a bad mood longer than a couple of minutes, ever.\u00a0 My temper does not have the hold on me it did and eventually it won\u2019t even be a part of my existence.\u00a0 Because happy is winning.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m happy. <\/em>And the world rejects that anomoaly, and I\u2019m OK with it.\u00a0 I used to wag my finger, but all I can do is lean and loaf and rejoice in the fact that I have that spark of the divine that allows me to feel and know that the road ahead is good.<\/p>\n

When someone says, \u201cYou don\u2019t need<\/em> any more caffeine.\u201d\u00a0 I say, \u201cwhy is it an anomaly to be anything but joyful\u2014how do you think we\u2019re meant to be?\u201d<\/p>\n

We\u2019re meant to be happy.\u00a0 Happy is at nobody\u2019s expense, but look what happens when you\u2019re happy.\u00a0 You\u2019ll infect many people with delight.\u00a0 There will always be a few people that are designed to inflict misery.\u00a0 These are the men that call Greg Swann arrogant, and these are the people that have quashed the spark of Read more<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
