{"id":12290,"date":"2010-06-16T07:24:19","date_gmt":"2010-06-16T14:24:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=12290"},"modified":"2010-06-16T07:26:15","modified_gmt":"2010-06-16T14:26:15","slug":"wayward-politician-generates-website-visits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/12290\/wayward-politician-generates-website-visits\/","title":{"rendered":"Wayward Politician Generates Website Visits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You may have heard that Bob Etheridge, a politician from North Carolina, hugged, embraced, cuddled, shared a tender moment, or assaulted two men who were asking him some questions on video about his support for Barack Obama&#8217;s agenda as he walked down the street in DC.  <\/p>\n<p>Apparently, one of the major sites &#8211; www.newsbusters.org &#8211; that posted the video, also posted a link to my, dare I say, helpful discussion on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chetson.com\/felonies\/assaults\/\">North Carolina assault law<\/a> (which was sort of odd since Etheridge, if he violated a law, violated DC&#8217;s assault laws).<\/p>\n<p>This generated something like 6,000 visits yesterday, which is more than twice what I get in a month. But, as far as I can tell, no business from those visits.<\/p>\n<p>All this reminds me that website visits are only very loosely correlated with business: visits don&#8217;t pay the bills.
