{"id":13415,"date":"2010-10-22T10:45:49","date_gmt":"2010-10-22T17:45:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=13415"},"modified":"2010-10-22T10:45:50","modified_gmt":"2010-10-22T17:45:50","slug":"talking-dogs-and-skinning-cats-an-anti-sales-message","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/13415\/talking-dogs-and-skinning-cats-an-anti-sales-message\/","title":{"rendered":"Talking Dogs and Skinning Cats: An Anti-Sales Message"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I&#8217;m about to <a href=\"http:\/\/flatratebiz.com\/demo\">reopen<\/a> my <a href=\"http:\/\/flatratebiz.com\/order\">doors<\/a>. \u00a0I&#8217;m up and delivering now, but I have some anti marketing to kill, and I&#8217;ll get to it over the weekend. \u00a0I had to learn a I recently attended a real-estate trade conference in the Pacific Northwest. \u00a0I won&#8217;t say <a href=\"http:\/\/www.agentreboot.com\/location\/portland\">which one<\/a>. \u00a0I went to <a href=\"http:\/\/blogworldexpo.com\">blogworld.<\/a> sat in the back and mingled little. \u00a0What follows is overheard snipets from attendees, booth speakers and vendors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You, \u00a0can&#8211;and you should&#8211;finally&#8230;graduate from selling. \u00a0That&#8217;s the goal of every agent, right? \u00a0You deserve to rise above the crowd and become an online marketer, an avatar&#8230;an icon. \u00a0Let me help you do that. \u00a0Selling? \u00a0That&#8217;s for the lesser lights amonst us. \u00a0Let them handle it. \u00a0And, since it&#8217;s for lesser lights, then you needn&#8217;t learn to do it at a high level. All you need to do is turn some of your worthless GCI into digital credits. \u00a0We&#8217;ll bring pre-sold, can&#8217;t miss buyers to your door.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And if our widgets fail&#8230;at least you \u00a0have provided them with their new entitlement: automated regurgitation of data without context. \u00a0Because that&#8217;s what buyers and sellers want, right? \u00a0They want to be in charge of their own experience and decide what&#8217;s right for them.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\ufeff&#8221;Well, \u00a0sure I respect him. \u00a0Why wouldn&#8217;t I? \u00a0What happens in Vegas is between adults. \u00a0Of course he&#8217;s honest, sure. \u00a0Just because he lies to his wife, betrays his children in plain site doesn&#8217;t mean anything bad will happen business wise. \u00a0I think he&#8217;s as honest as the day is long. \u00a0I trust him\u00a0<em>implicitly. <\/em>I mean, you gotta do what you feel is right, right? \u00a0He&#8217;s kept secrets for me, and you know, at the end of the day, marriage is long.<\/p>\n<div>&#8220;Look, I want to provide value. \u00a0I don&#8217;t want just another pitchfest. \u00a0But, you know, if it feels a little festive, great. \u00a0If there are pitches going on, hey, what can you do?<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;ROI? \u00a0Why would you ask about that? Puh-leaze.
