That is to say: Is this an area where I am more likely to roll down my windows \u2013 or lock my doors?<\/p>\n<p>Plausibly, there are Fair Housing issues here, since real estate agents are instructed to send safety questions to third-party resources \u2013 but the ChaosScore\u2122 can be precisely that.<\/p>\n<p>So: Like this: Within a three-mile radius, quantity of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supermarkets\/pharmacies<\/li>\n<li>Abortion clinics\/gun stores<\/li>\n<li>Check-cashing\/payday-loan stores<\/li>\n<li>Convenience stores\/gas stations<\/li>\n<li>Traffic lights\/limited-access roadways<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The lower the score, the better \u2013 unless you are plotting the location of your next McDonalds. I could think of other things to measure, but they&#8217;re all about non-residential uses of the land. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/18070\/overnight-news-the-real-estate-market-is-color-blind-good-neighborhoods-are-the-ones-rich-in-ants\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">This again is a color-blind way of looking at the impact of location on residential real estate appreciation:<\/a> Anyone buying a home where the ChaosScore\u2122 is high should expect worse results, going forward, compared with low-ChaosScore\u2122 neighborhoods.
