{"id":1927,"date":"2007-09-14T18:00:03","date_gmt":"2007-09-15T01:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=1927"},"modified":"2007-09-14T23:07:56","modified_gmt":"2007-09-15T06:07:56","slug":"attorneys-condescension-immaculate-perception-and-the-nar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/1927\/attorneys-condescension-immaculate-perception-and-the-nar\/","title":{"rendered":"Attorneys, Condescension, Immaculate Perception and the NAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s <em>always<\/em> dangerous \u2013 and not a little misleading \u2013 to extrapolate a whole from a part.\u00a0 One of the problems facing the real estate industry is a phantom stereotype \u2013 generally negative \u2013 applied to all agents, when anyone in the business knows that the range spans the genius to the inept, the scrupulously honest to the corrupt.\u00a0 I\u2019d argue high professionalism for most, but in three short years in the business I\u2019ve run into the gamut.<\/p>\n<p>So I understand the pitfalls of where I\u2019m going with this, but I\u2019m going anyway:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do law schools really have a required <em>Applied Condescension<\/em> class; and why is it so many attorneys have a self regard inversely proportional to their actual worth?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I admit some of this is anecdotal and personal: the only attorney I\u2019ve ever had to hire I also had to fire; what she\u2019d failed to accomplish in six months I managed on my own in six days. Recommended by a friend, she overpromised, under delivered and grossly overcharged.
