{"id":2280,"date":"2007-11-28T01:11:29","date_gmt":"2007-11-28T08:11:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2280"},"modified":"2007-11-28T01:11:29","modified_gmt":"2007-11-28T08:11:29","slug":"please-please-please-do-something-different","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/2280\/please-please-please-do-something-different\/","title":{"rendered":"Please, please, please do something different!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This dawned on me the other day as I was filling out my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realestateconnect.com\/ny08\/index.aspx\">Inman Connect<\/a> Speaker Information email that they&#8217;ve sent me 4 times now but I hadn&#8217;t properly synthesized it until now and while it is an axiom as old as time it is something worth remembering every day: <strong>Be remarkable.<\/strong>\u00a0 Why remarkable?\u00a0 Because remarkability wins.\u00a0 Because remarkability is what makes you stand out from the white noise that impinges on success in every competitive ocean out there.\u00a0 Because with out remarkability you are just a part of the landscape; and no one that I&#8217;ve yet to meet likes the prospects associated with that business proposition.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s said a million different ways, but it all amounts to the same thing: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sethgodin.com\/bigmoo\/\">a purple cow<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1591840414\/?tag=zoometry-20\">a free prize inside<\/a>, an unique selling proposition, are all imploring us to do one thing &#8211; something remarkable.\u00a0 It&#8217;s as simple and as complicated as that all at once.\u00a0 See different and remarkable are interchangeable in language but not in action.\u00a0 Being different is easy, being remarkable is hard.\u00a0 Being different doesn&#8217;t win and doesn&#8217;t necessarily have any attached benefits to the customer; in fact being different can have adverse affects on them &#8211; but being remarkable is a different story.<\/p>\n<p>Being remarkable is about being different to a point where that person you are trying to impact takes notice and is so moved that they make an effort to tell someone else.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sethgodin.com\/\">Seth Godin<\/a> illustrates and &#8220;riffs&#8221;
