Okay, it’s my turn.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u00a0generally leave the loftier\u00a0industry fodder for\u00a0other, more\u00a0qualified (if not more committed), real estate bloggers\u00a0to cull over. I commend\u00a0visionaries like Greg Swann<\/a> for single handedly forcing\u00a0readers across the R.E. Web (okay, me)\u00a0to look up\u00a0such words as\u00a0disintermediation<\/a>, <\/em>Quixotism<\/a>\u00a0 (just making\u00a0sure), and even Odysseus<\/a>, <\/em>although the latter\u00a0was only because Dan Green<\/a>\u00a0told me he thought it was Latin and I was pretty sure it was Greek. At age 51.5 (I know, I know…<\/em>I don’t look it)\u00a0and deteriorating, I think I’m just growing tired of thinking,<\/em> these days.<\/em><\/p>\n

There are enough talented writers<\/a> in this medium, I believe,\u00a0to\u00a0address all the cutting edge commentary leaving me<\/em> free to throw lawn darts and lob softballs at all the easy targets, usually people who didn’t buy a house from me. \u00a0But something Kris Berg wrote about recently<\/a> got me up off my rocking chair to\u00a0go searchin’\u00a0for my literary shotgun…as it were.\u00a0 I think I’m gonna hunt me some Redfin<\/em>…if there are any left.<\/p>\n

This oddly named\u00a0varmint\u00a0(or is it a fish?) is not indigenous to these here parts\u00a0of Chicago but I do <\/em>know one thing—I don’t think I like the taste of it. I hear it smells a little gamey,\u00a0and the presentation is…well, a little\u00a0like\u00a0a wolf in sheeps’s clothing<\/a>\u00a0for my liking.\u00a0But most of you already know this. You’ve blogged it onto\u00a0the endangered (<\/em>if not protected)<\/em>\u00a0species list from what I’ve read.\u00a0And like I said, I ain’t really seen one up close … just yet.<\/p>\n

I have<\/em>, however,\u00a0perused\u00a0everything I could find posted\u00a0on the company, archived and otherwise; essays, interviews, comments–Ahh<\/em>, the comments and the commentors of the Blogosphere.\u00a0Talk Radio<\/em> doesn’t even hold a candle.\u00a0It was\u00a0Redfin’s<\/em> implied (cleverly discoursed\u00a0in the second person–‘Uncle Sam Wants YOU<\/strong>!’) mission statement\u00a0though, that forced me to finally weigh in on the subject, placing reasonable restraint of tongue and pen aside for now.<\/p>\n
