I commend\u00a0visionaries like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?author=1\">Greg Swann<\/a> for single handedly forcing\u00a0readers across the R.E. Web (okay, me)\u00a0to look up\u00a0such words as\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/dictionary.reference.com\/browse\/disintermediation'\">disintermediation<\/a>, <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/dictionary.reference.com\/browse\/Quixotism\">Quixotism<\/a>\u00a0 (just making\u00a0sure), and even <em><a href=\"http:\/\/dictionary.reference.com\/browse\/Odysseus\">Odysseus<\/a>, <\/em>although the latter\u00a0was only because <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?author=14\">Dan Green<\/a>\u00a0told me he thought it was Latin and I was pretty sure it was Greek. At age 51.5 (<em>I know, I know&#8230;<\/em>I don&#8217;t look it)\u00a0and deteriorating, I think I&#8217;m just growing tired of <em>thinking,<\/em> these days<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There are enough <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2374\">talented writers<\/a> in this medium, I believe,\u00a0to\u00a0address all the cutting edge commentary leaving <em>me<\/em> free to throw lawn darts and lob softballs at all the easy targets, usually people who didn&#8217;t buy a house from me. \u00a0But something <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2384\">Kris Berg wrote about recently<\/a> got me up off my rocking chair to\u00a0go searchin&#8217;\u00a0for my literary shotgun&#8230;as it were.\u00a0 I think I&#8217;m gonna hunt me some <em>Redfin<\/em>&#8230;if there are any left.<\/p>\n<p>This oddly named\u00a0varmint\u00a0(or is it a fish?) is not indigenous to these here parts\u00a0of Chicago but I <em>do <\/em>know one thing&#8212;I don&#8217;t think I like the taste of it. I hear it smells a little gamey,\u00a0and the presentation is&#8230;well, a little\u00a0like\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=1251\">a wolf in sheeps&#8217;s clothing<\/a>\u00a0for my liking.\u00a0But most of you already know this. You&#8217;ve blogged it onto\u00a0the <em>endangered (<\/em>if not <em>protected)<\/em>\u00a0species list from what I&#8217;ve read.\u00a0And like I said, I ain&#8217;t really seen one up close &#8230; just yet.<\/p>\n<p>I <em>have<\/em>, however,\u00a0perused\u00a0everything I could find posted\u00a0on the company, archived and otherwise; essays, interviews, comments&#8211;<em>Ahh<\/em>, the comments and the commentors of the Blogosphere.\u00a0<em>Talk Radio<\/em> doesn&#8217;t even hold a candle.\u00a0It was\u00a0<em>Redfin&#8217;s<\/em> implied (cleverly discoursed\u00a0in the second person&#8211;&#8216;Uncle Sam Wants <strong>YOU<\/strong>!&#8217;) mission statement\u00a0though, that forced me to finally weigh in on the subject, placing reasonable restraint of tongue and pen aside for now.<\/p>\n<p><em>(sic)<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Redfin is an online real estate brokerage that puts you\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>in\u00a0charge\u00a0of\u00a0buying\u00a0or selling your home:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>We combine listings direct from every broker with data on past sales &amp; days on market.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Our local agents guide you on price and negotiate the best deal.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Our online tools make the paperwork easy.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You get results, not a sales pitch because our agents are paid on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/2387\/i-see-dull-people\/#more-2387\" class=\"more-link\">Read more<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Okay, it&#8217;s my turn.
