{"id":2401,"date":"2007-12-20T17:51:19","date_gmt":"2007-12-21T00:51:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2401"},"modified":"2007-12-20T20:03:28","modified_gmt":"2007-12-21T03:03:28","slug":"photo-snapped-of-patients-genitalia-during-surgery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/2401\/photo-snapped-of-patients-genitalia-during-surgery\/","title":{"rendered":"Photo snapped of patient&#8217;s genitalia during surgery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azcentral.com\/community\/scottsdale\/articles\/1218mayophoto1219.html\">AZ Central <\/a>to read the full story.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kate Nolan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Arizona Republic<br \/>\nDec. 18, 2007 07:17 PM<\/p>\n<div>A Mayo Clinic Hospital surgeon in training used a cellphone to photograph a patient&#8217;s genitals during surgery and now may face disciplinary action and a patient&#8217;s attorney.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Adam Hansen, chief resident of general surgery at the Phoenix hospital, admitted to Mayo administrators he snapped the photo during a Dec. 11 gallbladder surgery on patient Sean Dubowik, whose penis bears the tattooed slogan, &#8220;Hot Rod.&#8221;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"341\" alt=\"No Photo Available\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/No%20Photo%20Available.jpg\" width=\"380\" align=\"right\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After Hansen showed the photo to other members of the surgical staff, one phoned a <em>Republic<\/em> reporter on Monday and left an anonymous message about the incident.<\/div>\n<div>&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Hansen has been placed on administrative leave and is neither seeing nor treating patients.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;..<br \/>\nDubowik runs a Phoenix topless bar, Centerfolds Cabaret, and said he&#8217;d gotten the tattoo on a $1,000 bet.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was the most horrible thing I ever went though in my life,&#8221; Dubowik said. He said he chose Mayo Clinic for treatment because his mother had five surgeries there.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They were supposedly the best of the best. I have no complaints about the medical care I was given,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But now I feel violated, betrayed and disgusted. I&#8217;ve never been in a hospital and (my) first experience is the worst thing ever.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p>Dubowik, who had not yet spoken to an attorney Tuesday, said he planned to contact one.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The longer I sit here the angrier I get,&#8221; he said.<\/p><\/div>\n<div>___<\/div>\n<div>Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click AZ Central to read the full story.
