But I said, “no, no, no…”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Truth is; I can barely swing a hammer….Let me rephrase that; I can swing the hell out of a hammer but just not in a constructive <\/em>way. I am not<\/em> the fixer-upper type, in case we haven’t met. (See\u00a0mug shot above for clarity.) I probably err to the side of demolition<\/em>, if anything.<\/p>\n

That being said, my\u00a0lovely wife (and occasional muse) found a possible<\/em>\u00a0second home that in theory, could<\/em> fulfill our retirement needs during\u00a0those\u00a0forthcoming platinum years that Dennis Hopper\u00a0pitches\u00a0on the Ameriprise commercials during prime time every night. All things equal, he’s my favorite corporate sell out<\/em> so far this century, that Dennis Hopper. \u00a0<\/em>Cool, quirky and rich beyond words, for sure.<\/p>\n

“60 is the new 40,”\u00a0<\/em>exclaims my man,\u00a0sharply dressed in black,\u00a0The Spencer Davis Group blaring in the background, and looking\u00a0unlike like any beshaded 72 year old cat I’ve <\/em>ever met. \u00a0And I’m all over it. According to DH, I’ve got 40 more good ones ahead of me. According to his math and blueprint for living, I’m barely 34.\u00a0 When he comes on the plasma in high def<\/em> I get a sudden urge\u00a0to run out and invest in something spectacular before I lose another precious second. I\u00a0yearn to \u00a0join the expedition, or at the very least, embark on the journey<\/em> to financial freedom.\u00a0 After all, one man’s\u00a0destination is another man’s starting point. Ask any\u00a0truly wealthy\u00a0person (9 figures+ by my definition) and I’m certain\u00a0he will tell you as much. “It’s the journey,<\/em> not the…” whatever.<\/p>\n

But the ‘hidden gem’ my wife came across this past weekend, a\u00a0shack on the Tennessee River,\u00a0needs some serious attention; more attention than I’m prepared to pay for, quite frankly. She found it on the Film Location site our own house is registered with (unbeknownst to me until a few months ago). And in case you didn’t know, there is a market for short term property rentals (upwards of $30,000 a month–the first 14 days tax-free)\u00a0‘wherever motion pictures are regularly filmed near you.’<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0And guess what?
