Wrapping up the end to another interesting week.\u00a0 Kind of a slow Friday what with Easter, spring break and so on.\u00a0\u00a0I am not sure what your experience has been,\u00a0but I\u00a0find that not many agents want to talk training (or mortgages for that matter)\u00a0while licking salt off of a margarita glass on a sunny Friday afternoon.\u00a0 As I mentioned though, I\u00a0do find most weeks interesting and this one did not disappoint.\u00a0 I celebrated my birthday yesterday.\u00a0 I am not much on birthday celebrations per se<\/em>,\u00a0 I figure you celebrate on the fives and leave the rest alone.\u00a0 I doubt if anyone out here even knew about it.\u00a0 But this year I\u00a0found\u00a0myself doing a lot more contemplating and a lot less writing as the odometer turned over.\u00a0 One area of interest was rebirth.\u00a0 This year my birthday (the first day of spring)\u00a0falls\u00a0particularly close to Easter.\u00a0 Both the first day\u00a0of spring and Easter are hardcore proponents\u00a0of rebirth.<\/p>\n

Staying fresh is a difficult concept in\u00a0real estate.\u00a0 Essentially, a good agent is someone who endlessly repeats the same tasks around an ever changing core – yet does so as if it were the first time each and every time.\u00a0 In this way good agents are quite similar to good stage actors.\u00a0 It may be the 100th time they\u00a0have given their listing presentation, but the best know that their\u00a0current audience is hearing it for the first time.\u00a0 Embracing change and supporting a willingness to recreate yourself\u00a0is a formidable weapon if you earn your living in the\u00a0arena\u00a0competitive – which real estate most certainly is.<\/p>\n

Over the past few days we have been privy to posts on super real estate companies<\/a>, being entertaining<\/a>, virtual remodeling <\/a>and, believe it or not,\u00a0talking signs<\/a>!\u00a0 Lots of good ideas, but only really useful to those\u00a0among\u00a0us that are willing to rearrange ourselves; root around inside and make changes.\u00a0\u00a0Sometimes a new\u00a0idea will require letting\u00a0go of\u00a0a long held belief.\u00a0\u00a0In the 2.0 world these ideas fly by us at breakneck speed and the blessing is this: when you miss one it is OK because another one is coming.\u00a0 We do not have to assimilate every innovation that lights us Read more<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
