{"id":2901,"date":"2008-04-04T14:13:44","date_gmt":"2008-04-04T21:13:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2901"},"modified":"2008-04-04T14:19:22","modified_gmt":"2008-04-04T21:19:22","slug":"zillow-mortgage-im-still-looking-for-the-yellow-brick-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/2901\/zillow-mortgage-im-still-looking-for-the-yellow-brick-road\/","title":{"rendered":"Zillow Mortgage: I&#8217;m Still Looking for the Yellow Brick Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There sure have been a lot of posts recently regarding Zillow Mortgage Marketplace.\u00a0 Greg Swann gave us a pre-opening preview <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2884\">here<\/a>, the advertising aspect <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2885\">here<\/a>, and the capitalist and cookie aspects <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2887\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2890\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 Brian Brady takes a \u201cthe last shall be first\u201d attitude <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2886\">here<\/a> and presents Zillow Mortgage as online dating <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2892\">here<\/a> (this is the Great and Powerful Oz so, trust me, he ties it together).\u00a0 I have been following this closely and am, in fact, one of the \u201capproved\u201d lenders on Zillow (I still pay many\u00a0of the bills originating).\u00a0 But, in my\u00a0search for the Emerald City of Transparency, I am still looking for the yellow brick road.<\/p>\n<p>Before commenting on transparency and the great Zillow experiment, let\u2019s quickly dispense with the true purpose of Zillow Mortgage; it was made clear two days ago by Greg Swann when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=2885\">he wrote<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>What this means is that Zillow will be able to deliver highly-targeted advertising to its users, zeroing in on products and services that would be most appealing to that user\u2019s sex, age, income and other demographic characteristics.
