I may have been <em>a little<\/em> smarter (transcript wise)\u00a0had I attended\u00a0easier schools in the early years but hey, I was always\u00a0a low hanging fruit grabbing kind of guy.\u00a0 I was born in\u00a0Levittown, Pennsylvania where they planted a low hanging fruit grabbing tree in every front yard, for <em>crissakes<\/em>. It was\u00a0included in\u00a0the $9,999 List Price along with a garden hose and a rose bush. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/geography.about.com\/od\/geographyglossarye\/g\/ggenvdetermin.htm\"><em>Environmental Determinism<\/em><\/a>, I argue.<\/p>\n<p>My parents stood in line to buy <em>their<\/em> asbestos and plywood dream home, along with every other aunt and uncle in\u00a0the Petro\u00a0family, back\u00a0in the early 1950s.\u00a0 I, my one sister, and at least 17 of my 27 first cousins, were all conceived under identical roofs over identical floorplans and given the limited <em>TV Guide<\/em> lineup of that particular\u00a0era, possibly with\u00a0the same program airing\u00a0on the tube during many of our respective magic moments&#8230;as it were. Reruns, Vatican I\u00a0<em>et al&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0inauspicious start in life is not to imply that\u00a0I don&#8217;t have good taste; or an appreciation of the finer things in the universe; or a penchant for all\u00a0treasures classic, or rare, or unique. On the contrary, I love all those things. I embrace the perfect example of anything. I&#8217;m all about pinnacles. (I may even suffer from a little pinnacle envy, if you must know.) \u00a0I&#8217;m just saying&#8230;putting it out there, as it were&#8230;that I may not be a 100% blue blooded, redbone <em>Bloodhound<\/em>.\u00a0 Somewhere along the line, I misplaced my registration,\u00a0or forgot to apply, or didn&#8217;t qualify by the published AKC\u00a0<em>Flemish Hound<\/em> Standard as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Temperament: <em>Extremely Affectionate<\/em>. (Points taken off immediately)<\/p>\n<p>Expression: <em>Noble and Dignified<\/em>. (Ditto)<\/p>\n<p>Gait: <em>Elastic<\/em>. (I can see that. Give me a point)<\/p>\n<p>Weight: <em>Male&#8211;90-110 LBS<\/em>. (Whack me double)<\/p>\n<p>Head: <em>Narrow in proportion to its length.<\/em> \u00a0(See where I&#8217;m going with this?)<\/p>\n<p>We all saw the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=3139\" title=\"mybigfathead\"><em>You Tube<\/em> video<\/a>. My big fat head is not narrow or proportionate to anything. As I told\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buyhalfahouse.com\/\">Don Reedy<\/a>, my table mate and new BFF at <em>Unchained<\/em>,<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I look like my grandfather. He was a butcher.
