{"id":4141,"date":"2008-08-28T17:18:17","date_gmt":"2008-08-29T00:18:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=4141"},"modified":"2008-08-28T17:18:17","modified_gmt":"2008-08-29T00:18:17","slug":"understanding-re-web-20-btw-where-are-my-meds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/4141\/understanding-re-web-20-btw-where-are-my-meds\/","title":{"rendered":"Understanding RE Web 2.0 &#8211; btw Where are my meds?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lately I have an overwhelming feeling that I have schizophrenia &#8211; to those who know me well, they simply ask why it took me so long to figure it out.<\/p>\n<p>What happened to the days when searching for a home doubled as a work out?\u00a0 Lugging around 25 lbs MLS catalogues &#8211; flipping thru the black and white property snapshots &#8211; it was clean &#8211; it was simply &#8211; it was &#8211; well &#8211; leisurely.<\/p>\n<p>You know &#8211; with the advent of new technology &#8211; evolving from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0, the amount of choices and technological advancements in developing online communities and data analysis has my mind spinning &#8211; so many choices<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>how do I use these new solutions?<\/li>\n<li>How will my clients benefit?<\/li>\n<li>How will I benefit?<\/li>\n<li>Which ones should I invest in?<\/li>\n<li>Which functionality provides the best return?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As I discover new sites and options, I can&#8217;t seem to keep up with the &#8220;older&#8221; ones.<\/p>\n<p>So &#8211; I decided to try and put it all together.\u00a0 So here I am &#8211; at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.homethinking.com\" target=\"_blank\">homethinking<\/a>, on my computer, trying to assemble my thoughts &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trulia.com\" target=\"_blank\">Trulia<\/a> wondering what this all about &#8211; I mean, in general, I feel I am a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realseekr.com\">realseekr<\/a> of knowledge &#8211; where data&#8217;s concerned, I am good at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.krunching.com\">Krunching<\/a> the numbers.\u00a0 But the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.1000wattconsulting.com\">mind map of the Web 2.0<\/a> space has really <a href=\"http:\/\/www.motovo.com\">Motovo<\/a>ated me to look at how this fits together.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.personive.com\" target=\"_blank\">Personive<\/a>ly, I want my clients with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biggerpockets.com\" target=\"_blank\">BiggerPockets<\/a> to see the benefits while I become a <a href=\"http:\/www.smarteragent.com\">SmarterAgent<\/a>.\u00a0 That way we all win.\u00a0 Ok &#8211; so let&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zolve.com\" target=\"_blank\">Zolve<\/a> this problem.<\/p>\n<p>So &#8211; I&#8217;ve found some of the sites to be useful.\u00a0 I actually have found some great clients using some of these sites.\u00a0 But still &#8211; the list is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vast.com\" target=\"_blank\">Vast<\/a>.\u00a0 Bottomline &#8211; clients are still seeking help &#8211; they view me as their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.homeguru.com\" target=\"_blank\">HomeGuru<\/a>.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s face it &#8211; for the client seeking a new home, they generally still need to walk thru the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.frontdoor.com\" target=\"_blank\">Frontdoor<\/a> of a prospective property to know whether or not it&#8217;s a fit.<\/p>\n<p>I will admit, I <em>used to<\/em> think <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hoodeo.com\" target=\"_blank\">Hoodeo<\/a> these people think they are, having to walk <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upmystreet.com\" target=\"_blank\">UpMyStreet<\/a>, up and down <a href=\"http:\/\/www,.everyblock.com\" target=\"_blank\">EveryBlock<\/a>, insisting on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/4141\/understanding-re-web-20-btw-where-are-my-meds\/#more-4141\" class=\"more-link\">Read more<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lately I have an overwhelming feeling that I have schizophrenia &#8211; to those who know me well, they simply ask why it took me so long to figure it out.
