{"id":4692,"date":"2008-09-27T21:11:59","date_gmt":"2008-09-28T04:11:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=4692"},"modified":"2008-09-27T23:02:05","modified_gmt":"2008-09-28T06:02:05","slug":"promoting-affordable-housing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/4692\/promoting-affordable-housing\/","title":{"rendered":"Promoting Affordable Housing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I didn&#8217;t believe it when I read it; the bailout bill is &#8220;earmarked&#8221; and ACORN is one of the beneficiaries of the largesse. \u00a0 ACORN may control up to 20% of the $700 billion proffered by the <a title=\"Bush\/Obama\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=4611\">Bush\/Obama Bailout Plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>ACORN?\u00a0 Are you kidding me?\u00a0 <a title=\"sol stern\" href=\"http:\/\/www.city-journal.org\/html\/13_2_acorns_nutty_regime.html\">THIS is what ACORN really is (from Sol\u00a0 Stern)<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>ACORN\u2019s bedrock assumption remains the ultra-Left\u2019s familiar anti-capitalist redistributionism. \u201cWe are the majority, forged from all the minorities,\u201d reads the group\u2019s \u201cPeople\u2019s Platform,\u201d whose prose Orwell would have derided as pure commissar-speak. \u201cWe will continue our fight . . . until we have shared the wealth, until we have won our freedom . . . . We have nothing to show for the work of our hand, the tax of our labor\u201d\u2014claptrap that not only falsifies the relative comfort of the poor in America but that also is a classic example of <\/em><em>chutzpah, given ACORN\u2019s origins in a movement that undermined the work ethic of the poor.
