{"id":5147,"date":"2008-10-23T19:32:52","date_gmt":"2008-10-24T02:32:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=5147"},"modified":"2008-10-24T07:05:54","modified_gmt":"2008-10-24T14:05:54","slug":"the-last-vestige-of-respect-gone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/5147\/the-last-vestige-of-respect-gone\/","title":{"rendered":"The Last Vestige of Respect&#8230; Gone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With a little over a week to go in this election, we can finally all come together in agreement on one issue.\u00a0 Whether you are voting for McCain: the logical vote, or voting for Obama: the emotional vote, or voting third party: the non-viable vote (unfortunately) &#8211; one thing has become clear.\u00a0 The mainstream press has given up all pretense of being unbiased in their coverage.\u00a0 They are blatantly shilling.\u00a0 Whether we like the candidate they are whoring for or not, any respect we could have is gone.\u00a0 The fourth estate has lost all legitimacy.<\/p>\n<p>This final nail in the coffin was delivered by CNN earlier this week.\u00a0 By all accounts, CNN has been as neutral as possible during the election.\u00a0 They appear a little left of center by most accounts, yet they have been relatively even in their coverage.\u00a0 What respect they deserved is now gone too.\u00a0 On Tuesday night, Drew Griffin interviewed Governor Sarah Palin.\u00a0 Watch the video at about 1:25 in and listen to the question Mr. Griffin asks of Governor Palin.\u00a0 She is visibly shaken by it:<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"425\" height=\"344\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/m4AIoJTK8ug&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1\"\/><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"\/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Now please read the actual paragraph that Mr. Griffin is quoting from the National Review.\u00a0 It was written by Byron York (not a difficult fact to find out Mr. Griffin) :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Watching press coverage of the Republican candidate for  vice president, it\u2019s sometimes hard to decide whether Sarah Palin is  incompetent, stupid, unqualified, corrupt, backward, or \u2014 or, well, all of the  above. Palin, the governor of Alaska, has faced more criticism than any  vice-presidential candidate since 1988&#8230; (<a title=\"How Palin Governed\" href=\"http:\/\/article.nationalreview.com\/?q=MjEyMzk3MWU4Yzk1NGQyMWYwZjk0OTcyNmEzYTM5N2E=&amp;w=MA==\" target=\"_blank\">full article here<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The first and last lines change the meaning a little don&#8217;t you think?\u00a0 To say Mr. Griffin quoted Mr. York to Governor Palin out of context would be an understatement.
