{"id":5903,"date":"2008-12-02T15:25:57","date_gmt":"2008-12-02T22:25:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/?p=5903"},"modified":"2008-12-07T10:46:38","modified_gmt":"2008-12-07T17:46:38","slug":"not-all-dinosaurs-are-extinct","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/5903\/not-all-dinosaurs-are-extinct\/","title":{"rendered":"Not\u00a0All Dinosaurs Are Extinct"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I know an agent with big hair &#8211; she used to drive a Cadillac &#8211; she traded it in for a Lexus.<\/p>\n<p>She likes to lunch &#8211; <em>alot<\/em> &#8211; with friends, clients and colleagues.\u00a0 She started selling real estate when I started high school &#8211; basically ALONG time ago.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s not on Facebook.\u00a0 She twitters only in the office &#8211; face to face &#8211; with friends, clients and colleagues.\u00a0 She&#8217;s not on MySpace &#8211; Her space is the desk in the office &#8211; overwhelmed with a prodigous Rolodex with cards falling out.\u00a0 She emails, but her assistant does the typing.\u00a0 Funny thing is &#8211; she seems to always be on the phone.\u00a0 Talking.\u00a0 Offering well-wishes on birthdays, engagements, job promotions, new children arrivals and even new grandchildren arrivals.<\/p>\n<p>I think she may be working on the third generation of her first clients.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve never heard her ask for business &#8211; often times the phone calls are incoming, not outgoing.\u00a0 She&#8217;s busy, but not overwhelmed.\u00a0 During a casual conversation regarding a recent property showing, she shared some very valuable insight regarding the unit &#8211; you see, she&#8217;s sold it twice before.<\/p>\n<p>When she tells me she knows everyone in the business, I believe her.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s social &#8211; but not of the media type.<\/p>\n<p>In comparison, I believe I am more social, but perhaps too much of the media type.\u00a0 I like technology.\u00a0 I believe that technology can and will transform how real estate is transacted.\u00a0 Through observation, however, I have learned that even in the absence of technology, real estate is transacted &#8211; quite successfully.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I know an agent with big hair &#8211; she used to drive a Cadillac &#8211; she traded it in for a Lexus.
