What does that mean?<\/p>\n
You can set up a free BloodhoundBlog.net weblog, say, something like myblog.BloodhoundBlog.net<\/em>.<\/p>\n Then you can go to a domain registrar like Godaddy.com<\/a> and register your own domain, perhaps MyOwnDomain.com<\/em>. You don’t have to buy a hosting package or anything else, just the domain.<\/p>\n Then, with a little help from us, you can set up MyOwnDomain.com<\/em> so that it displays myblog.BloodhoundBlog.net<\/em>.<\/p>\n From the point of view of both your users and search engine spiders, your weblog is hosted at MyOwnDomain.com<\/em>.<\/p>\n Here’s an example, a melancholy celebration of Dayton by Teri Lussier<\/a>. The blog is built on BloodhoundBlog.net, but, because of domain-mapping, it looks like it lives on its own server.<\/p>\n WordPress.com charges $10 a year for domain-mapping. We’ll do it for free — with the stipulation that you really are a hard-working real estate blogger.
