He thinks like I do. He wants to help people and he trusts that in the end that helping people will help build his reputation online and off. Anyone who was at BHBU knows this.<\/p>\n<p>He is a nice guy. I&#8217;d like to  think I am a nice guy too. But even us nice guys have their tolerance levels for BS. And they ESPECIALLY have them for when people screw with their friends. (In my case friends = REALTORS). But what do I know&#8230;I am just a technologist.<\/p>\n<p>Check out this weekly email update being unwittingly sent by many Louisville area REALTORS to their desperate to sell a home clients.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/realtorcom.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"850\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/realtorcom.jpg\" alt=\"realtorcom\" title=\"realtorcom\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8476\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/realtorcom.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/realtorcom-176x300.jpg 176w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s wrong with this picture, you ask?<\/p>\n<p>Well for starters, my mom has a word for houses that have been viewed on REALTOR.com (or any other place 4,272 times in the last 2.5 months)&#8230;.SOLD. This house has not had near enough showings to come close to what that level of exposure should generate.<\/p>\n<p>So while I am not technically calling BS on you REALTOR.com, the biggest part of me wants to. <strong>I am asking you for an explanation of how these supposed pageviews are calculated.<\/strong> You CLEARLY state at the bottom of your graphic that &#8220;views is views&#8221;. Is that similar to what the meaning of the word is is??? Hmmm???<\/p>\n<p>This smells ESPECIALLY funky in light of the following: <\/p>\n<p>REALTOR.com does not RANK anywhere on the first page of Google for Louisville Real Estate and for most of the higher traffic terms.<\/p>\n<p>I have never seen a REALTOR.com TV ad run in our area.<\/p>\n<p>I have heard a couple of the Ty Pennington radio spots on lower traffic radio stations run a few months ago. Would that gin up this kind of views on a $100k house??<\/p>\n<p>From whence cometh the traffic?<\/p>\n<p><strong>HERE&#8217;S WHAT I THINK YOU ARE DOING:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I think when someone does a search for houses in the 100k to 150k range, you pull them ALL up. That may be well over 1,000 homes. (100 pages of listings) I think you are giving a &#8220;pageview&#8221; to ALL of those listings&#8230;even the ones on page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloodhoundrealty.com\/BloodhoundBlog\/8475\/realtorcom-truth-in-advertising\/#more-8475\" class=\"more-link\">Read more<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I like Mark Madsen.
